Moonalice is a psychedelic, roots-rock band of seasoned musicians mixing a variety of genres with extended musical improvisations. Everyone is a part of the experience. Moonalice was the brainchild of the great producer, T Bone Burnett in 2007 because he wanted to create a band with a San Francisco 60’s sound. Moonalice plays mostly original material mixed with some covers, and during their extended freeform jams the band moves as one, drawing from many musical genres honed from years of experience playing with various major acts. Every show features an original art poster, created by a well-known artist, and with its own unique Moonalice "legend". A copy of the poster will be given free to all attendees. All Moonalice concerts are broadcast live in HD on the Moonalice Couch Tour and available shortly after their set.

Videos and posters of all shows are available on moonalice.com and every show poster (each with a unique legend) can be viewed at moonaliceposters.com.

THE CANNABIS SPACE.

OCTOBER 14 & 15, 2016
HYATT REGENCY
5 EMBARCADERO CENTER, SAN FRANCISCO, CA

BUSINESS

Legal cannabis has an estimated $10 billion annual economic impact, and the sector is rapidly professionalizing. More than one thousand entrepreneurs and investors will gather to forecast trends in today’s fragmented regulatory landscape, where the arrival of mainstream capital is obliterating past models. The Summit looks at what’s next for non-profits, venture-backed startups, publicly traded companies and crowd-funding. Panelists of active, accredited investors and successful entrepreneurs cut through the hype.

TECHNOLOGY

High technology guarantees the near future of cannabis looks nothing like the present. Get the complete picture of the next generation of consumer marijuana apps and business services disrupting and streamlining the space with business models akin to Uber, Grubhub, Snapchat, Salesforce.com, Yelp and others. Explore shifts in verticals such as extraction, cultivation, vaporizers, and POS, CMS, and auditing systems. Peak over the horizon and future-proof your business model.

MEDIA

The internet and the broader media is the single greatest force shaping the destiny of cannabis consumers and the companies selling to them. Meet the influencers and review the state of the art of cannabis communications, focusing on: social media, marketing, activism, modern branding, editorial trends, the entry of Fortune 500 brands into the space, and the normalization of cannabis.

Enjoy the selection of craft beers, fine wines & soft drinks. Please, no outside food or drinks allowed. All-ages are permitted to attend.

OUR SPONSOR

Thanks go to our event sponsor Triminator® for helping make this event possible.

Drawing on over 30 years of experience engineering woodworking and forestry tools, our founder designed a big marijuana trimming machine to increase processing speed with a patented trimming system to provide a precise and beautiful trim. After hundreds of hours of testing, growers were so impressed with the machine’s mechanical precision and raw speed they affectionately named it the Triminator®. It was built for maximum efficiency and finished with details that make every grower’s life a little easier.

FAQ

Why should I attend?

Personal connections are the key to professional success. Through the wide variety of events offered to members of Women Grow, trustworthy business relationships sprout from the face-to-face interactions of our members. Together we have more power. As the cannabis industry grows on a national and global scale, women have the opportunity to build a new American industry from inception and redefine the workplace to create environments in which we can flourish and define our own destiny, and cultivate the next generation of industry leaders.

How can I get the most out of networking events?

We recommend bringing business cards and a pen to take notes. If you don't have business cards, check out Moo for 10% off your first order (and your first order supports Women Grow). Watch our video on networking tips from Women Grow founding members.

Where are there Women Grow events?

Women Grow events are held in small towns and large cities, in prohibition and legalized states alike. No matter where your county is on the road to legalization, you can have a Women Grow chapter. Learn more about starting a Women Grow Chapter.

Are there ID requirements to attend?

All Ages are welcome. Attendees must have a valid ID as many events occur in establishments serving alcohol.

What are my transportation/parking options?

There is plenty of public parking around the venue. Carpooling is always encouraged, so find a friend and make it a date!

Can I pay at the door?

Paying in advance helps speed up our check-in process and makes sure you receive all event announcements. If you are unable to pay in advance, please bring cash.

Are tickets refundable or transferrable?

You may send a friend to attend in your place. Tickets are not refundable.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, as long as your ID matches the name your registered the ticket under. You may also show us your ticket on your mobile device. If you are giving your ticket to a colleague, please forward them the ticket to show us.

Are events on different days other than the first Thursday of the month?

Women Grow networking events are on the first Thursday of each month (except for holiday weeks). Social events can be planned at other times. Women Grow's national events are held a few times a year. Make sure you're on the Women Grow mailing list to receive invitations.

Why do you charge for events?

Women Grow is funded by event proceeds and sponsors. We charge for our events so that Women Grow is a self-sustaining organization. If you are unable to afford an event, please contact the organizer to ask about volunteer opportunities.

Why should I consider a career in the cannabis industry?

Watch our videos on getting started in the cannabis industry and why women should get involved.

State of Marijuana

STATE OF MARIJUANA

REGISTER NOW

WHEN: Sept. 26-27, 2016

WHERE: Long Beach, CA
The Britannia Salon and Deck, Queen Mary

A State of Marijuana

The State of Marijuana is a landmark event in Southern California that gathers influential entrepreneurs, advocates, investors and government officials across multiple focused panel discussions and business workshops. In 2015, we assembled an all star panel discussion with the authors of the MMRSA and the regulators that will expand the law into thousands of pages of regulations.

As the legal cannabis market continues to grow in all sectors across the nation, the burning discussions in and for California remains hot.

Returning for a third year, The State of Marijuana will once again bring together the major players in the cannabis political environment and the billion-dollar business.  This event will provide exclusive networking and key insights into regulatory and legal issues, medical marijuana research, business strategies, and new technologies innovating the industry.
